Someones Band (CD)

The band’s self-titled, one and only album on Deram, was originally released via tiny print run in September 1970. We are proud to announce its first widely available reissue across LP and CD.

The esoteric London quintet’s superb collection of bluesy progressive rock, recorded in one single night, has become one of the rarest and most sought-after LPs of the period.

“At the time I made the album, it was very progressive,” lead singer Sir Cecil recalled in 2011. “Musically, it was different. It’s not like you’re walking down the street and you’re just looking at one street. It’s like every corner you come to, it’s like a different music. You’re gonna get a country song on there. You’re gonna get a blues song on there. That’s why it’s called Someone’s Band.”
