Cellist Kian Soltani speelt op zijn nieuwe album het beroemde Celloconcert van Dvorák en vijf arrangementen van een aantal andere bekende stukken van de Tsjechische componist (o.a. Lasst mich allein, Songs My Mother Taught Me). Hij wordt begeleid door de Staatskapelle Berlin onder leiding van Maestro Daniel Barenboim. Voor de andere stukken (waarvan er drie door Kian Soltani zelf zijn gearrangeerd) wordt hij vergezeld door zes cellisten van de Staatskapelle Berlin.
Dit is Soltani’s tweede album op Deutsche Grammophon en is voor het gele label weer de eerste opname van dit Celloconcert sinds 2002.
